200h Yoga Teacher Training Switzerland: Yoga University

Pioneer the Evolution of Yoga: Master the Science That Replaces Blind Tradition
The modern yoga world is full of quick weekend certifications and rigid traditions that ignore basic human anatomy. Yoga University Switzerland sets a higher standard. We replace vague spiritual talk and blind repetition with clear physics, practical breathing mechanics, and real movement science.
Under the guidance of Master Shahid Khan at our central Bern campus, this 200-hour intensive trains dedicated students, health professionals, and future teachers to master their own bodies and teach with absolute anatomical clarity.
The Science of Movement & Joint Safety
The Patented Alignment Mat: Ending the Guesswork
Standard yoga mats give you zero guidance. At Yoga University, daily practice is built around Master Shahid Khan’s patented alignment mat. Clear, calibrated lines show you exactly where to place your feet and hands. This distributes your body weight safely across your joints, removes bad habits right away, and ensures your practice remains safe and stable for your specific body structure.
Protecting Joints & Safe Bone Alignment
Traditional yoga often pushes bodies into extreme, painful stretches without proper muscle support. We study yoga postures as mechanical structures. You will learn how wrong foot angles and bad stances put dangerous twisting pressure on your knees, hips, and lower back. By learning proper joint alignment, you engage the right muscles, protect your cartilage, and prevent long-term joint wear.
The 3 Motors of Respiration: How Breathing Really Works
Breathing is not an abstract concept—it is a physical pressure system inside the body. We break pranayama down into three physical motors: airflow through the nose, pressure in the throat, and the movement of the diaphragm. You will learn how specific breathing patterns calm the nervous system, lower stress, balance your blood oxygen, and give you steady physical control.
The 200-Hour Academic Curriculum
Module 1: Practical Anatomy & Safe Yoga Asanas
Leave behind confusing, textbook-only diagrams. You will study muscles and bones directly through movement. Learn how gravity moves through the body, how to read different skeletal shapes, and how to make safe hands-on adjustments for all body types.
Module 2: Patanjali Yoga Sutras as Mental Science
Study classical Indian philosophy without religious dogma. We look at Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and Samkhya philosophy as a practical user manual for the human mind—focusing on daily focus, emotional balance, and overcoming mental distraction.
Module 3: Everyday Ayurveda & Metabolic Health
Understand internal health through the logical science of Ayurveda. Learn how digestion, body tissues, and personal body types interact with food, sleep, and daily routines to keep your energy high and your body healthy year-round.
Module 4: Clear Teaching & Classroom Leadership
Learn to lead a room with calm, unshakeable confidence. Master clear verbal instructions, visual posture checks, and intelligent class structures to teach and adjust students safely in Level 1 and Level 2 Yoga Asanas, as well as dedicated Yogveda Pranayama sessions.
